Madeleine and Aaron held their wedding at the Big Foot Country Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on September 10, 2022! This venue was absolutely stunning! The property is surrounded by woods, rolling hills, and natural spring-fed streams. I also have to give a shout out to the coupleās florist, Sage Floral. They did an AMAZING job decorating the space. The flower arrangements were absolutely breathtaking, and they complemented this classic wedding venue perfectly!
Madeleine and Aaron actually met on Facebook. They went to the same small high school, but they were separated by a few years so they didnāt really meet until much later. One day, years after they both graduated, Madeleine liked one of Aaronās pictures on Facebook. He messaged her, they hit it off, and the rest is history!Ā
The couple has been together for about 7 years now, but Maddie knew right away that Aaron was the man she was going to marry. They were already discussing their wedding day by their third date! Aaron did wait another 6 years or so to propose though. He proposed to Maddie on New Yearās Eve at her parentsā house, which is where they met for the first time. While he got down on one knee he told Maddie, āThis is where I met you and saw you for the first time, and this is where I ask you, āwill you marry me.āā
Needless to say, both Maddie and Aaron were extremely excited for their big day, and both of them told me all they wanted was a big celebration with their closest friends and family.Ā
And a celebration it was! Maddie and Aaron are both super outgoing and so much fun to be around. They chose not to do a first look because they wanted to be surprised when it came time for Maddieās walk down the aisle. When she saw Aaron for the first time, before the ceremony got started, Maddie said, āoh you look so handsome!ā and all of their guests laughed. Weddings donāt always have to be so serious and scheduled. Itās your day! So, be yourself and say whatās on your mind during those big moments.Ā
Maddie had a few heirlooms with her as she walked down the aisle. She wore her grandmotherās bracelet and earrings, and she had a handkerchief sewn into her dress that her grandmother wrote on. She also used the money her grandmother left her to pay for her classic gold wedding bands.Ā
After the ceremony, we took the coupleās wedding photos at Maddieās parents house on Lake Geneva. The backdrop was stunning and the weather was absolutely perfect! The sun was out but it wasnāt too hot, which everyone was grateful for. It was a perfect September day in Wisconsin. We even had the opportunity to take photos on a boat that Maddieās dad and brother built together! The boat was stunning and the photos are unique and meaningful. I love when thereās a story to tell about a coupleās wedding photos!
During dinner, Maddie, Aaron and both sets of parents ventured out to the porch to watch Maddieās dad saber a champagne bottle. A close family-friend taught him recently how to do it and it worked perfectly! It was a cool moment for the 6 of them to share together!
Maddie and Aaron definitely got their wish. Their wedding day was a celebration from beginning to end with those who are closest to them.Ā
Maddie and Aaron – Thank you both so much for letting me be a part of your big day! The joy between you two is so contagious and you both are just so much fun to be around! I wish you all the luck and love in your future! Hugs – Taylor
