Nippersink on the Lake Wedding | Liz + Devin

Liz and Devin’s relaxed September wedding at Nippersink on the Lake in Wisconsin was the perfect mix of lakeside views, joyful moments, and a celebration filled with personality, laughter, and so much love!

From the very beginning of the day, everything felt easygoing and genuine which perfectly reflects who Liz and Devin are as a couple. Even though it was a warm September day in Wisconsin, the excitement and happy energy surrounding them made the entire celebration feel light, fun, and completely unforgettable.

Nestled right along the water, Nippersink on the Lake created such a beautiful setting for their wedding day. With the sparkling lake views, warm sunshine, and peaceful outdoor ceremony space, it was the perfect backdrop for a romantic Wisconsin lakeside wedding.

The morning started with Liz getting ready with her girls, and the energy in the room was instantly contagious. Her bridesmaids were the ultimate hype squad – cheering her on, keeping the excitement going, and making sure the whole morning felt relaxed and joyful. Even feeding her grapes like a queen on the cozy lounge chair…it was hilarious!

They continued being the real MVPs throughout the day, too. During portraits in the warm sunshine, they were always right there with water and fans to help Liz stay cool. It was such a sweet example of how supportive and thoughtful her friends were, and it made the entire day feel even more special.

Devin and his guys added a little western flair to the celebration. As a gift to his groomsmen, Devin gave each of them personalized bolo ties, which were such a cool and unique detail. And Devin himself tied his whole look together with a pair of black cowboy boots that fit his style perfectly.

During portraits, Devin kept everyone laughing the entire time. Out of nowhere he would strike a random pose or make a hilarious face, instantly bringing out genuine smiles from everyone around him..I loved seeing the collection of faces he made while I was editing their day. Those little moments made the portrait time feel so relaxed and fun – exactly the kind of energy that makes a wedding day memorable.

Liz and Devin’s ceremony took place at the beautiful outdoor ceremony space at Nippersink on the Lake, right by the water. With the bright September sunshine reflecting off the lake and their closest friends and family gathered around them, it created such a romantic setting.

One of the most meaningful details of the entire day was Liz’s incredibly special ‘something blue.’ Her sweet grandma was there celebrating with them and wore blue from head to toe — even down to her blue nails. Her caretaker, who the family absolutely adores, was also there supporting her and wearing blue as well. Isn’t that the cutest ‘something blue’ ever? Her grandma was truly the sweetest, and it was clear how much love everyone had for her. Having her there made the day even more meaningful for Liz and her family.

When the reception began, the celebration truly kicked into high gear! Liz is a cheer coach, so it’s no surprise that the dance floor quickly filled with energy. One of her friends, who is also a DJ, kept the music going all night long and made sure the party never slowed down. They also had an ice cream truck for their guests to enjoy was the best touch espeically on the hot day that it was. The reception at Nippersink on the Lake was filled with laughter, dancing, and so much love for Liz and Devin. From heartfelt moments with family to a packed dance floor by the end of the night, it was the perfect way to celebrate such a joyful day.
