The Eloise

Ali and Austin said ‘I do’ on September 22, 2023 at The Eloise, an elegant, modern wedding venue located in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin! The couple met online and have been together for just under three years. They connected over their mutual love for dogs. Austin has a husky named Aspen, who just so happened to be a great wingman when it came to dating Ali! Aspen is now a huge part of their lives together (even has a cute Instagram), and they couldn’t be happier!

Austin wanted to make sure his proposal to Ali was well documented. So, he enlisted the help of a photographer to make it happen. They came up with a plan to tell Ali that they were posing as models for a practice session, and during the shoot Austin got down on one knee to propose! Ali was so surprised, and she was thrilled to have so many amazing photos of their engagement.

For their big day, Ali and Austin wanted a unique wedding venue that was modern yet timeless. Ali loved all things bright, light, and airy, so The Eloise was a perfect choice for both their ceremony and reception! The Eloise is totally customizable, but the bones are elegant, luxurious, and romantic. Since both events were in the same location, the timeline was extremely relaxed (with the help of their wedding planner, Amy with Relax Event Planning of course!). The couple chose to do a first look, which contributed to the relaxed timeline because they were able to take portraits, solos, and wedding party photos before the ceremony. That way, the wedding party was able to enjoy cocktail hour without worrying about taking photos.

Before the first look, Ali and Austin read their personal vows in private. It was an emotional moment for both of them and helped to get some of the tears out before the ceremony. It’s so sweet when couples take the time to cherish the big moments of the day. Wedding days go by so quickly, especially the ceremony!

The couple’s reception details were absolutely stunning! They seriously thought of everything. The Eloise set the stage perfectly, and the vibe was exactly what they were looking for in a wedding venue. Ali and Austin simply wanted to enjoy a beautiful night with their friends and family, and they did precisely that! You could really feel and see the love in the room, and the dance floor was packed all night!

I want to give a big thank you to Erica and Hallie for associate shooting this wedding for me as I had just welcomed my new baby boy! You both did such an amazing job and I’m so grateful for you! I’m also so thankful to Ali & Austin for being so understanding of the change up in who was there to photograph your day! You two were so gracious and I am so grateful for you both!
