The George and Madcap Lounge Wedding in Milwaukee | Sally + Mike
Sally and Mike’s George and Madcap Lounge wedding in Milwaukee was a perfect blend of style, heart, and wildly fun energy from start to finish! Some couples instantly make you feel like you belong, like you’re not just there to photograph their wedding, but to truly experience it right alongside them….Sally and Mike were exactly that! From the very beginning, they were full of excitement, warmth, and the kind of joy that’s completely contagious. You couldn’t help but feel welcomed and seen when you were with them, and their wedding day at The George and Madcap Lounge was a true reflection of who they are!
The day began with the dreamiest bridal details. Sally’s stationery, designed by Bayview Printing, was absolutely stunning — a soft pastel orange palette that felt fresh, modern, and joyful. Paired with meaningful family heirlooms, every detail told a story. One of the sweetest moments of the morning came when Mike surprised Sally with the most adorable little Lego bride and groom figures. It was thoughtful, playful, and so perfectly them!
Their wedding party brought the best energy from the start — truly the ultimate hype crew. Laughter, excitement, and support filled every moment, making the entire day feel effortless and fun. The ceremony took place upstairs at The George and Madcap Lounge, and it was nothing short of stunning. The space felt intimate yet elevated, filled with emotion and connection as Sally and Mike said their vows surrounded by the people they love most.
While the upstairs space was flipped for the reception, guests headed downstairs for cocktail hour in the Madcap Lounge basement — and this space is a whole vibe. Wildly fun, incredibly stylish, and full of personality, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. Earlier in the day, it also served as the perfect getting-ready spot for the Mike and his groomsmens. The Madcap Lounge basement adds such a dynamic layer to a George and Madcap Lounge wedding, making the entire experience feel social, energetic, and unforgettable.
Once guests made their way back upstairs, the reception space had been completely transformed. Soft florals, pastel orange accents, and warm lighting created an inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and relaxed. Then Sally and Mike made their entrance and WOW…Their reception entrance was nothing short of the best energy vibes! The cheers, the excitement, the joy in the room, it instantly let everyone know this was going to be a night to remember.
The speeches were absolutely priceless! Sally’s sister shared a story that had apparently been waiting years to be told — the kind of story everyone agreed could only come out at her wedding. Sally’s parents had no idea what was coming, and when her dad realized the story was about Sally, he exclaimed, “That was you?!” The room erupted into hysterical laughter, creating one of those unforgettable, joy-filled moments that people will be talking about for years.
Their first dance was filled with laughter and sweetness, the kind that makes you smile just watching it unfold (I’m in love with those images). And once the dance floor opened, it stayed full all night long. This is one of the many reasons I love photographing a George and Madcap Lounge — the space naturally encourages connection, movement, and celebration, making the entire day feel like an incredible party with your favorite people.
Sally and Mike – Thank you for letting me be apart of of your special day! You two are seriously so much fun and I had a blast capturing your day! laughter, and unforgettable moments! Hugs – TK
