When I first met Abby and Sean, the word that continuously came to mind was joyful! I was sincerely wowed as that exact word was used all throughout their day! They are some of the most welcoming, joyful and thoughtful people that I have had the honor to meet and work with. Their wedding in Hartland, Wisconsin, included many little details that made their wedding day unique, and perfectly captured them as a couple. These special details really showed how much they loved one another and their friends and family that surrounded them! Abby looked stunning in her delicate lace wedding gown, with pearl buttons down the back, and a dreamy floor length veil. To honor her grandmother who has passed, she wore her blue diamond ring, and carried her beaded purse and hanky all day. It was such a special tribute to someone who had made a big impact in her life. In addition to Abby’s accessories having a special meaning, the couple’s venue did as well! Abby grew up on Beaver Lake, where The Chenequa Country Club is located. It was an absolutely lovely setting, and I was honored to capture so many beautiful photos of Abby and Sean with the lake behind them!
Her bridesmaids wore a soft neutral lavender that was beautifully highlighted with magnificent bouquets of whites and purples. Sean and his groomsmen complimented the ladies perfectly in classic navy suits. Abby and Sean’s impeccable taste made their wedding day a visual dream to photograph! Not only was their day beautiful to the eye; it was also beautiful in the hearts of every guest who attended (myself included!).
Abby and Sean clearly mean so much to the family and friends in their lives, because many had traveled to be there to celebrate. During the ceremony, Father Jordan talked about how he had known Abby since grade school, as they used to go on mission trips together. He used that perfect word, “joyful,” that kept popping up on this day, to describe her. Not only does that capture Abby, but it is also the perfect word for Sean, their love for one another, and the whole feeling of their big day- JOYFUL! It doesn’t get much better than that! He explained how it was such an honor that they had asked him to marry them.
The reception at The Chenequa Country Club was so fun! This was an event that Abby and Sean’s guests will talk about for years to come. Abby’s father gave a speech about how the couple had met in Boston, and asked those who had a hand in the meeting to stand up one by one, as he told each part of the story, which was so powerful! As the Blue Water Kinds Band played, guests partied and enjoyed treats from Purple Door Ice Cream. Everyone laughed, danced, and celebrated the night away with happy hearts for these two amazing people! Congratulations Abby and Sean- here’s to a lifetime of happiness together! Thank you for letting me be a part of your incredibly joyful celebration!
