Green Bay Distillery

Samantha and Josh tied the knot on a sunny summer day in June at the Green Bay Distillery in Green Bay, WI. The couple originally connected through mutual friends. Sam went to college with Josh’s childhood best friend, and once they were introduced, they were inseparable!

Sam and Josh are an outgoing couple who love the outdoors. So, it was only natural that Josh planned his proposal to Sam in nature. They took a trip to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and mapped out a hike to one of the area’s famous waterfalls. Once they got to the beautiful waterfall at the end of the hike, Josh got down on one knee and proposed! There was even someone standing by with a camera to capture the moment. Sam was completely surprised and according to her the rest of their trip was pure magic.

The couple’s ceremony took place at a local church. They didn’t do a first look, but they did do a first touch, which I thought was really sweet! They stood back-to-back so they couldn’t see each other and read letters out loud that they had written especially for their wedding day. Sam did choose to do a first look with her dad and it was so sweet. I always love when brides have a moment with their dad!

After the ceremony, we took wedding party photos outside near the church. Sam and Josh had a large party filled with friends and family. They had SO MUCH fun taking photos! Josh’s friends could not get enough of the camera. They had so many of their own ideas and I was loving it. It was easy to see that both Sam and Josh are adored by their loved ones and everyone was so happy to be standing by their side!

From there we took a party bus to the wedding reception at Green Bay Distillery and you could see the iconic Lambeau Field right behind the building. The Distillery had it all, and it was the perfect spot for Sam and Josh to enjoy their night with their guests. One of Josh’s groomsmen surprised him with a saxophone player to play along with the music while guests danced the night away. It was such a cool extra touch!

Before the sun went down, Sam and Josh took advantage of the warm summer night and opted for a few moments of golden hour photos. It’s also such a great moment to take a few minutes to just be with each other on such a special yet busy day!
