Cherry Hall Wedding in Kansas City

Wedding

Emily and Carson’s unique and contemporary Cherry Hall Wedding was one for the books! Cherry Hall is located in the historic Crossroads Arts District in downtown KC, which is known for its cutting-edge entrepreneurial ventures, contemporary office spaces, and modern event venues. Their wedding was rescheduled due to COVID, but it was clear that being able to celebrate with their full guest list was well worth the wait!

Emily and Carson met online and bonded over their love for their pups. Their first date was a walk along the Katy Trail in Dallas, TX with Caron’s sweet golden retriever in tow. From there they were inseparable. Carson proposed to Emily while they were enjoying a boat ride on Lake Travis, TX!

When their big day finally arrived, it was easy to see that they were both just excited to get married. Despite the wedding day jitters, the entire process was very relaxed and easy-going. The couple’s ceremony took place at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, but before the ceremony, they did a first look and took the time to read each other their own vows. I think this is a great option for couples who want to have a traditional Catholic ceremony, but still want to have a personal moment together!

Seriously, these two were the sweetest couple! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with them. Throughout the day, Emily and Carson were all smiles and it was simply the best having them in front of my camera all day! Their friends were so happy to be there and watch Emily and Carson say, “I do.”

Cherry Hall was such a beautifully unique venue, and it fit the couple perfectly. They had personalized champagne glasses that guests picked up on their way into the venue as favors. Table numbers were printed onto stir sticks in the glasses so guests could find their assigned seat. I mean how CUTE, right?! Emily hand-made each of the glasses herself! I’m a sucker for personal touches, and I loved this dual-purpose idea for wedding favors and table assignments!

Emily & Carson – I’m so happy that we were able to finally celebrate you two becoming husband and wife! You two are so kind to all those around you and it was such a joy to capture your love story! Cheers to your first year as a married couple! Hugs – TK
